Privacy
Your privacy is very important. We fully respect your
right to research your family history without revealing your identity. For
the Pearsall (and variant surname) DNA project, we have and will continue
to use reference codes that do not reveal who you are – your results and
identity are separate. Furthermore, we do not recommend tests that reveal
who you are individually (e.g. we do not use autosomal
DNA testing). For this project, we only recommend tests that trace direct
paternal or maternal lines (e.g. Y-DNA or mtDNA
tests). Moreover, the tests we use for genetic genealogy do not generally
reveal any medical condition or trait. Y-DNA and mtDNA
are strictly used in our context for verification of lines… helping you
connect the dots to your ancestors.
Our goal remains one in the same, to facilitate
sharing amongst our family special knowledge of our common history and
ancestry. If you have any specific questions or concerns, I am always happy
to discuss, clarify, and answer.
